The Grand Guesthouse Policies
Check-In Time: 2:30pm - 5:30pm (5:00pm on Sundays)
If
you plan on arriving after the times listed above, please contact us to make
late check-in arrangements. If you arrive before your room is available, you
are more than welcome to stop by the guesthouse to park your car, and pickup
a map so you can get started right away on your island vacation.

Deposit
A deposit equal to the first night of your stay
(plus tax) is required when booking your reservation. During Fantasy Fest (the
last full week of October), Christmas, and New Years, the deposit required
is normally 50% of your entire stay. Higher deposits may be required for some
special events and holidays.
Cancellations
Since The Grand is a small property, cancellations
affect our income greatly. Please see the following paragraph for cancellations
during holidays and special events. For non-holiday/special event reservations
we must receive your cancellation at least 14 days prior to your scheduled
arrival date, and your deposit will be refunded less a $35 handling fee. If
you cancel within 14 days of the start of your reservation, your deposit is
nonrefundable. Reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the start of the reservation
will incur a charge for the entire reservation. Any changes in reservation
dates will incur an adjustment fee of $35 per room. Once you arrive, there
are no refunds for shortened stays.
During Fantasy Fest (the last full week of October), Christmas, and New Years,
the cancellation period is normally extended to 90 days, and the handling fee
is $150. Higher cancellation periods may be required for some special events
and holidays.
We do not issue refunds for transportation issues, inclement weather, or
hurricanes. In the unlikely event that a mandatory evacuation of Key West coincides
with your reservation dates, and you do not purchase travel insurance, you
will be issued a credit for a future stay at The Grand Guesthouse. These credits
are non-transferable and will be valid from June 1 - December 15, up to one
year from the issue date.
No credit will be issued for hurricanes which are not a threat to Key West,
or if you are unable to travel because of canceled flights or adverse travel
conditions outside of the Keys.
Occupancy
All of our room rates are based on double occupancy
(2 people). We allow a maximum of 2 people in our Queen Rooms, and a maximum
of 3 people in our Suites. A 3 rd person in any Suite will incur a fee of $30-$50/night.
Children
We do not allow children less than 12 years of
age.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in any of our rooms.
Smoking
As a state certified Green Lodging Property, all
of our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking of any kind inside our rooms will result
in a minimum charge of $150.
Spring Break
The Grand Guesthouse is a very small, quiet
property, located in a residential neighborhood. It is not suitable for Spring
Breakers. We recommend seeking lodgings directly on, or closer to, lower Duval
Street.
